Becoming aware and making the choices that are beneficial and fulfilling to each one of us personally, is the first step to welcoming wellness in all of the key areas of our lives. Wellness is more than just being in the best shape, it is also about evolving emotionally, physically, and socially towards our highest selves.
Evolving Emotionally: Learning how to be fully aware of our current state of mind is vital so we can be connected with our mind. Having that awareness helps us know what it is we need to do to improve our mood in an uplifting way. Being more aware of our emotions will help us start to have a better understanding of the path we are all on. Meditation has been such a powerful coping mechanism that has lead us to positive change for us emotionally throughout this year. Tip: Sit in a comfortable seated or lying position for 15 minutes a day. Try to quiet your mind. If thoughts pop into your mind- acknowledge them and then set them free and try to find the silence again. Each time you meditate, you are on your way to evolving to your highest self.
Evolving Physically: Physical growth can come from the exercises we love that helps strengthen our muscles and bones. Physical growth also comes from the foods we choose to nourish our bodies with. Food is truly fuel, and when our body has all of the nutrients it needs, we can truly feel the difference. One of our favorite things to do, is to find a new recipe once a month that includes our favorite wholesome foods & ingredients so we always have something fun and exciting to nourish our bodies with! Our nutrition and physical activity go hand and hand with each other and are key to feeling our absolute best, so we can perform and function at a high level throughout our days. Tip: search for new recipes to make that already contain the foods you know you enjoy and that your body loves. Stay away from any ingredients you know you don’t completely enjoy so you are setting yourself up for a delicious, wholesome meal you know you will love.
Evolving Socially: it is so important to surround yourself with like-minded individuals. By connecting with a community that is filled with friends who share the same values and goals as you do is so powerful. It is such a great feeling being able to learn, interact and invest your time with those who have a lot of the same interests as you do. We love being surrounded by a community that has a big passion for their own journey to wellness. It is such a great feeling being able to share things that you love with the ones around you, and to be able to learn new things from your community. Tip: Surround yourself with like-minded individuals. Share your journey to help others. Learn new things from the ones around you to grow. Stay away from anyone or anything that steals your happiness and doesn’t make you feel your very best!
